I once knew a beautiful girl — of Egyptian descent,
who spun my tiny world — and completely changed my bent,
on the things around me — as I walked my dogma path,
and tried to understand life and figure out where to restart.
As I retooled my senses and rebooted my mind,
she was there to catch me with words so kind,
and feed me her “love-food” made in her kitchen divine,
as she waved her magic spoon and danced in time…
To the music of compassion and the song of the heart,
while the birds, bees and animals all played their part,
in the dance of the butterfly of Mother Nature’s display,
and the sound of waves, and the sweetness of May.
That lady loved, sang, danced and expressed her love,
like the wings of an angel descending gently from above,
Her compassion knew no bounds in a world so off-course,
she would patiently move the insect from the plant without force.
In turn, I sincerely tried — to care for her every need,
providing what I could and planting only love seeds,
in our garden of the Lorax, we both sang and gaily danced,
and merged our life’s work with the spice of romance.
We came together at a time — ordained by providence,
when our combined karma allowed expressive consciousness,
we researched and pondered, and played in garden prairies,
and listened to our hearts while communicating with fairies.
But alas, my dear D, our union was not meant to be,
for some weird reason, we kept experiencing difficulty,
as friends became foes and our minds scratched walls,
in the caverns of despair — the hell sirens called.
I remember that day — so vivid and stark,
when we both found ourselves trapped within the dark,
of confusion and despair — in a whirlwind of hate,
as our love crumbled around us inside a frivolous debate.
So much was lost — on that sorry and sad day,
all those dreams we built up and the words that parlayed,
into a union heaven-sent and a friendship of ONE,
it meant nothing now, as our hearts betrayed fun.
But history now reveals that lessons were learned,
In those tough times, craziness and the totally absurd,
We’ve both evolved and flourished — and stand strong once more,
our hearts have mended nicely and we’re beginning to soar.
To the heights of our potential — and the love of Mother Divine,
as the eagles welcome our flight — and remind us it’s all fine,
for our future is so blessed — because we’ve always walked in light,
forever turning our backs on the ignorance of night.
I am happy to have met you — and now admire you from afar,
O’ mysterious food yogini, activist and performer known as “Darkstar”
I pray you’ll also bless me and my ascension through life,
and let die those old memories that caused us so much strife.
Yes, I’m honoured to have known you — and so proud of you too,
Smiling from afar — I now send my love and blessings through,
these mundane digital networks, astral planes and the spiritual relay,
wishing you the very best on this blessed 5th of May.
